Essar Centre

The Essar Centre is a 4,928 seat sports and entertainment centre

in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It opened on September 29th, 2006.  

 

The event level of the Essar Centre houses all player andofficial dressing rooms, kitchen facilities, multi-purpose, and

break-out rooms, as well as technical, storage, and loading in and

out functions. Also included on the event level is the Greyhounds'

dressing room complex which is equipped with coaching and

John Rhodes Community Centre

The John Rhodes Community Centre is a first-class facility for hosting sporting competitions and other tourism related activities.

The facility includes:

• 25 metre – 8 lane pool ramp entrance into the main pool beach-front tot pool

• spectator viewing for approximately 400 in the pool area

• family change rooms

• gymnastic facilitiesa

• community ice surface (85’ x 185’)

• NHL (85’ x 200’) ice surface

• 300 seats in each arena

• schoola special function/meeting room

• a multi-purpose classroom

• tournament centre room office

• a 210 seat lounge/restaurant

• food and beverage concession areas

• a 700 square foot pro shop

• an elevator
